Terms and Conditions

CopperWave Plumbing & Heating
These Terms and Conditions apply to all services provided by CopperWave Plumbing & Heating (“the Company”, “we”, “us”, “our”) to customers (“the Customer”, “you”). By booking our services you agree to these terms.
1. Services
CopperWave Plumbing & Heating provides plumbing, heating, installation, maintenance, and repair services for residential and commercial customers.
All work will be carried out with reasonable care and skill in accordance with applicable UK laws including the Consumer Rights Act 2015, which requires services to be performed with reasonable care and within a reasonable timeframe.
Where applicable, quotations will outline the scope of work to be undertaken.
2. Quotations & Estimates
Quotes provided by CopperWave Plumbing & Heating are valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated.
Quotes are based on the information available at the time and may be subject to change if:
• Additional work is required
• Unexpected issues arise
• The scope of work changes
If additional work is required, the customer will be informed before work continues where reasonably possible.
3. Booking & Appointments
Appointments must be agreed in advance.
The customer must ensure that:
• Safe and reasonable access is provided to the property
• Water, electricity and gas supplies (where applicable) are available
• The work area is clear and accessible
Failure to provide access may result in a call-out fee being charged.
4. Cancellations & Rescheduling
If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, we require at least 24 hours’ notice.
Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice may incur a cancellation fee, which may include:
• The booked labour time
• Call-out charges
• Any non-refundable costs already incurred
This policy exists because time slots are reserved specifically for each customer.
5. Materials & Parts
Where materials, parts or equipment are purchased for a job:
• The cost of materials will be charged to the customer
• Special order or bespoke parts may require payment in advance
• If a job is cancelled after materials have been purchased, the customer remains liable for the cost of those materials
Ownership of materials remains with CopperWave Plumbing & Heating until payment has been received in full.
6. Pricing & Payment
Payment terms will be provided on the invoice.
Unless otherwise agreed:
• Invoices must be paid within 30 days of the invoice date
• Payment may be made via bank transfer or other methods specified on the invoice
Failure to pay invoices within the agreed period may result in:
• Suspension of further work
• Debt recovery action
• Interest and recovery costs being applied under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998
Under this legislation, businesses may charge statutory interest and compensation on overdue invoices.
7. Late Payments
If payment is not received within the agreed payment terms:
• Interest may be charged on overdue balances
• Administrative charges or debt recovery costs may be applied
• Legal proceedings may be initiated to recover outstanding amounts
The customer will be responsible for reasonable costs incurred during the recovery of unpaid invoices.
8. Customer Responsibilities
Customers must:
• Provide accurate information about the issue or work required
• Ensure safe access to the property
• Inform us of any known hazards, structural issues, or existing system faults
CopperWave Plumbing & Heating is not responsible for delays or issues caused by inaccurate information or restricted access.
9. Workmanship Guarantee
We aim to provide high quality workmanship.
Where applicable, workmanship may be guaranteed for a specified period (if stated on your invoice or quotation). This guarantee applies to the installation work carried out by CopperWave Plumbing & Heating only.
The guarantee does not cover:
• Manufacturer defects in parts or appliances
• Damage caused by misuse, negligence, or third-party interference
• Normal wear and tear
10. Manufacturer Warranties
Parts and equipment supplied may be covered by the manufacturer’s warranty. Any such warranties are subject to the terms provided by the manufacturer.
11. Liability
CopperWave Plumbing & Heating will not be liable for:
• Pre-existing faults or defects in plumbing systems
• Damage caused by issues outside our control
• Indirect or consequential losses
Nothing in these terms excludes liability where it would be unlawful to do so.
12. Consumer Cancellation Rights
If you book services remotely (for example online or by phone), you may have cancellation rights under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, which generally provide a 14-day cooling-off period for consumers.
However, if you request work to begin during this period, you may still be required to pay for work completed and any materials supplied.
13. Complaints
If you are dissatisfied with any service provided, please contact us so we can resolve the issue promptly.
We aim to respond to complaints within a reasonable timeframe.
14. Data Protection
Customer information will only be used for the purposes of providing services and managing accounts. We comply with applicable UK data protection legislation including the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018.
15. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
16. Changes to Terms
CopperWave Plumbing & Heating reserves the right to update these Terms and Conditions at any time. The latest version will always be available on our website.
